asked the Minister for Health when a doctor will be appointed for (i) Killala dispensary district and (ii) Foxford dispensary district, County Mayo.

Permanent posts as district medical officer are not being filled generally at present in view of the proposed introduction of a general medical service with choice of doctor.

In the meantime the posts in Killala and Foxford dispensary districts are filled on a temporary basis.
