asked the Minister for Local Government if he can say when it is hoped to have sanction given to the building of 70 houses at Thurles, County Tipperary, which have been approved by Thurles Urban Council.

Approval was given last week to the first section, comprising 34 houses, of the proposed 68 house scheme at Thurles, and the submission of building proposals is awaited. Plans for the second section of the scheme will be discussed with the housing authority's technical advisers shortly, and a decision on them will be given as quickly as possible.
