asked the Minister for Local Government if he will provide grants for the erection of a bridge at Claggan, Ballycroy, County Mayo to connect Annagh Island with the mainland and thus provide a connection for the people of Inishbiggle Island.

The construction of a bridge to connect Annagh Island with the mainland at Claggan, Ballycroy, County Mayo, would be a matter for the road authority concerned, Mayo County Council, in the first instance. My Department has received no proposals from the county council in the matter.
