Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Performers Protection Bill.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if it is his intention to reintroduce the Performers Protection Bill on the same lines as it was introduced in November, 1964, so as to conform to the convention signed by this country in Rome in October, 1961 for the protection of performers and producers of phonograph and broadcasting organisations.

The answer is "Yes". Some amendments to the 1964 Bill seem necessary in the light of representations made by interested parties. I expect to introduce the amended Bill early in the next session.
