asked the Minister for Lands if he will state for (a) Sligo and (b) Leitrim the total acreage of lands acquired by the Land Commission in each of the last ten years; the amount allotted; and how many acres still remain in the possession of the Land Commission.

The information requested is contained in a tabular statement which I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to circulate with the Official Report.

Following is the statement:—

Counties Sligo and Leitrim.

Total acreage of lands acquired and allotted in each of the last ten complete financial years.

NOTE: The area of arable land on hands of the Land Commission in Counties Sligo and Leitrim at present is 900 acres and 550 acres, respectively.
