Donal Davern Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries (Mr. Davern) Fianna Fáil

I cannot at this particular stage say more than to assure the Deputy that the question of Exchequer support for creamery milk prices is kept under continuing review in the light of all the circumstances. The Government's sustained interest in this important sector of the agricultural industry is demonstrated by the fact that the Exchequer is providing £19.2 million for milk price support in the current financial year as compared with £13.7 million last year and £3.2 million five years ago.
