asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if he will give an assurance that the mountain lamb subsidy grading system will not be changed from the present system, and that the same number of lambs will be included this year although the bounty has increased from 10/- to £1.

The conditions for the Mountain Lamb Subsidy Scheme for 1968 will be the same as those obtaining in 1967. I cannot say how many lambs will be accepted for subsidy as this will depend on the numbers presented for inspection.
