asked the Minister for Local Government the up-to-date position regarding the acquisition of land at Kenmare by the Kerry County Council for council cottages; and the number of cottages proposed to be built there.

I expect to be able to give a decision shortly on a compulsory purchase order made by Kerry County Council for the acquisition of a housing site at Kenmare which is under consideration in my Department at present. I understand that the site would accommodate between 30 and 40 houses.
