asked the Minister for External Affairs if his attention has been drawn to the letter recently received by the Bank of Ireland from the Bank of China; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am aware that a letter was received on the 16th September, 1968, by the Bank of Ireland from the Bank of China.
