asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if he will state the amount paid in County Mayo under the land project for the year ended 30th September, 1968.

19.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries what is the average grant per acre paid under the land project in County Mayo.

With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 18 and 19 together.

The total amount paid in County Mayo under the land project for the year ended 30th September, 1968, was £140,050 and the average grant paid per acre in the county was £31.

That would not be the scheme Deputy Calleary so strenuously condemned when it was introduced?
