asked the Minister for Defence if he will consider granting a part of the pensions and special allowance payments of deceased members of the IRA to their widows who all too often have not been left in the best of circumstances.

It is not proposed to make provision for the payment to a widow of part of her deceased husband's military service pension or special allowance.
