The latest available date for which the information is available in the case of all State bodies under the aegis of my Department is 31st March, 1968, except in the case of the British and Irish Steampacket Company Ltd., where the latest available date is 31st December, 1968.

The position as at 31st March, 1968 (B & I Company as at 31st December, 1967) was given in reply to a question by the Deputy on 4th February, 1969. In the case of the B & I Company, the total amount of debt due on 31st December, 1968, was £5,590,814 and the cost of servicing it during that year was £85,611.
