asked the Minister for Local Government if he is satisfied that the provisions of the Local Government (Planning and Development) Act, 1963 are being adequately enforced in the Galway Gaeltacht area, particularly in regard to buildings constructed by non-residents.

Enforcement of the planning control provisions of the Act is primarily a matter for the planning authority. There is no information which would indicate that enforcement of these provisions is inadequate in County Galway.
