Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Appointments to Boards.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the criteria in accordance with which appointments are made to the Boards of semi-State bodies under the aegis of his Department; whether any general qualifications in regard to age are required; and whether any exceptions are made and in what circumstances.

Comment on this

In the making of appointments the aim is to choose persons who will bring useful experience and ability to the boards concerned. No qualifications in regard to age are required.

Comment on this

Comment on this

Apparently, to be an octogenerian is an advantage.
