Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - County Donegal Rates.

asked the Minister for Local Government the rate in the £ in respect of County Donegal for (a) the year 1956-57 and (b) the year 1970-71.

Comment on this

The rate in the £ levied by Donegal County Council in 1956-57 was 42s 11d. I understand that a rate has not yet been struck for 1970-71.

Patrick O'Donnell Mr. P. O'Donnell Fine Gael

I will be more than £6.

Maybe the Deputy would tell that to his colleague who does not seem to know.

Maybe the Minister could tell us why it will be so high?

Comment on this

It has not been struck at all yet.

But this is what it will be.

In that case the Deputy appears to have more knowledge than I. Maybe Deputy Harte should ask Deputy O'Donnell instead of asking me.
