asked the Minister for Justice if in view of the bank raid in Rathdrum, County Wicklow, on Friday, 20th February he intends to give more effective protection to the people living in the vicinity and the staffs of banks in rural towns and villages.

The position in this regard is kept under constant review and the gardaí are doing everything they can within the limits of their resources.
