asked the Minister for Local Government when he will sanction a loan permitting Wicklow County Council to purchase heavy machinery for road works.

Loans to finance the purchase of a number of the items of machinery referred to have already been approved. The Department is in correspondence with the council in regard to the purchase of the remaining items.
