asked the Minister for Local Government if he will reconsider the general position relating to the control of hackney notices which car hire operators are now prohibited from using on their vehicles; and if in an effort to facilitate tourists and other users of such services and in the general interest he will take immediate necessary steps to satisfy car hire operators.

I would refer the Deputy to my reply to his question of 29th October on this subject. The committee referred to in that reply is now preparing its report.
