asked the Minister for Local Government (a) the number of applications received for waiver of rates; (b) the number of such applications granted; (c) the number refused; and (d) on what basis such applications are decided.

The information requested at (a), (b) and (c) is not at present available in my Department. With regard to (d) applications under schemes for waiver of rates are decided by the rating authority concerned in accordance with the terms of the authority's scheme.
