asked the Minister for the Gaeltacht the reason for the delay being experienced by applicants for glasshouses for tomato production in the Gaeltacht areas of County Donegal.

Más iad na tithe atá beagnach críochnaithe anois atá i gceist ag an Teachta, is amhlaidh nár éirigh leis na soláthraithe iad a thógáil chomh gasta agus a bhíothas ag súil leis. Táthar ag iarraidh teacht ar sholáthraithe eile a d'fhéadfaí a mholadh d'iarratasóirí ar fud na Gaeltachta feasta.

In view of the fact that tomatoes are able to get only 12s a chip in the market and there seems to be a glut which will put a lot of tomato growers out of existence, will the Parliamentary Secretary not agree that it would be a good idea to advise people looking for grants to erect tomato houses that it is not a good investment?

Aontaím leis an Teachta ach ní ar an Roinn a bhi an locht nár chríochníodh tithe in am. An bhliain seo chugainn, le cúnamh Dé.
