asked the Minister for Lands if he will state in respect of each forest, grouped in counties, the number of forestry workers (a) in receipt of service pay and (b) not in receipt of service pay, who were laid off at any time in 1971.

The reply is in the form of a tabular statement which, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to circulate with the Official Report.

Following is the statement:

FORESTRY WORKERS LAID OFF IN 1971

These figures include cases where RPI has been served but notice has not yet expired.

I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to raise the subject matter of Question No. 6 on last Thursday's Order Paper on the Adjournment.
