asked the Minister for Lands the total number of estates held by the Land Commission in County Offaly; the names of these estates; the acreages involved; and the names and total acreages of those which are proposed to be divided in the coming spring.

The particulars requested are contained in a tabular statement which I propose, with the permission of the Leas-Cheann Comhairle, to circulate with the Official Report.

Following is the statement:

County Offaly.

Particulars of Estates—(apart from turbary, insignificant residues of partly allotted properties and lands transferred in exchange)—in the possession of the Land Commission for division.

NOTE: (1) Estates marked with an asterisk have already been partly allotted.

(2) It is not feasible to indicate when the individual Estates listed will be allotted. The necessary inquiries on the ground preliminary to allotment are being pushed forward as rapidly as circumstances permit. In the meantime all the properties mentioned are let pending final disposal.
