asked the Minister for Local Government if he will list the local authority works and projects awaiting financial sanction in his Department; and if he will be prepared to give immediate sanction to such proposals with a view to meeting the present serious unemployment situation.

As the reply includes a tabular statement, I propose with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to circulate it with the Official Report. With regard to measures to relieve unemployment, I would refer the Deputy to my reply to Question No. 138 of 16th instant in which details are given of schemes sanctioned by me following the recent decision of the Government to make additional capital available for this purpose.
