Can the Taoiseach indicate as yet what business it is proposed to dispose of before the summer recess?

At this stage, only in a general way, in the absence of being apprised of the Deputy's question in advance. The VAT Bill to the extent that we can get it through the Special Committee, the Finance Bill, the Social Welfare Bill, and the Minister for Industry and Commerce will be hoping to introduce the Restrictive Practices Bill immediately after business starts. I cannot say at this stage what else. If the Deputy will give me notice tomorrow, I will be able to tell him.

Am I to understand that the Tánaiste has not yet found time to introduce the Bill to remedy the trouble that was caused by what have become known as the Lourdes marriages?

May I ask when the consequential legislation for the Common Market is likely to be taken? Will there be anything in this session?
Comment on this
Yes. The Government hope to approve the outlines of the necessary legislation, to introduce it if possible this session, to go as far as we can with it in the course of this session.

Can the Taoiseach give any indication when the House will adjourn? Will it be August or July?

One would not know what happens at Cabinet meetings. There might be more disagreements.
