asked the Minister for Lands the reason for the delay in paying a gratuity to the widow of a forestry worker (name supplied) in County Wicklow.

Examination of this matter was unavoidably protracted but has now been completed. My Department will be in touch with the claimant in regard to the necessary legal steps to be taken as a prerequisite to payment of a gratuity.
