Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - ESB Holiday Competition.

Liam Burke Mr. L. Burke Fine Gael

asked the Minister for Transport and Power if his attention has been drawn to a holiday competition being sponsored by the ESB offering a free holiday at several places abroad; and, why, in view of the serious position of the tourist industry, these holidays were not offered at resorts in this country.

Patrick J. Lenihan Mr. B. Lenihan

I am informed by the ESB that they have already reviewed their offer of free holidays in the light of recent statements regarding the difficult situation in Irish tourism. The prizes now being offered in the competition are free holidays in Ireland.
