Having regard to the Minister's reply to the supplementary by Deputy Blaney, may I take it that this will be the prelude to the establishment of permanent structures in this school? The Minister said he thought prefabricated units should be replaced by permanent structures as soon as possible. May I take it this will happen in this case?
Comment on this
Yes. If I reverse the trend of direction of previous Government policy in relation to schools of the size of Borrisokane, then I will certainly sanction a permanent structure.
Comment on this
The Minister replied by saying that if he takes a certain step—surely there is no one better equipped——

Should he himself not know what he intends to do, irrespective of how that may contrast, which I think he implied, with anything done by the previous Government?
Comment on this
I have, I hope, four years in which to deal with the various aspects of educational policy and I would suggest that the Deputy should not press me on the question of Borisokane because I could elaborate to a great extent on what happened there.

asked the Minister for Education when the building of a new vocational school in Tipperary is likely to commence.
Comment on this
An outline sketch scheme and estimate of cost for a new vocational school in Tipperary were recently sanctioned in my Department and are being examined. It is not possible at this stage to say when building is likely to commence.
