asked the Minister for Local Government if he will recommend to Dublin Corporation that, in the event of long-term desertion by a husband, the tenancy of houses under their control may be transferred to the name of the wife.

I understand that it is the general policy of the corporation to transfer the tenancy of a house to a deserted wife who applies for such a transfer.
