Tenders for a new system built station were invited last year but no tender was received.

Plans and specification for a traditional type building are now nearing completion and it is expected that tenders will be invited within the next couple of months.

Sketch plans are at present being prepared for the erection of a new station immediately to the rear of the existing station which will be demolished in due course. It is hoped to invite tenders for the new building within the next 12 months.
