andMr. Hussey asked the Minister for Finance if he will request the appropriate EEC authority to study the factors inhibiting development in the western region, especially in Galway and Mayo, so that proposals for a coherent development programme may be prepared.

The possibility of requesting the EEC Commission to give financial assistance to a study of development problems in the west out of the 1975 Community Budget is currently under consideration in conjunction with a number of other proposals.
