asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if, in view of the changed situation in Greece and the imminence of general elections in that country, it is considered appropriate to establish some form of diplomatic representation there.

The Government have followed recent political developments in Greece with keen interest and welcome the restoration of civil and political liberties in that country. While I do not think it likely that we will be in a position to establish diplomatic relations with Greece in the near future, the question of exchanging diplomatic representatives with many countries, including Greece, is kept under review in the light of our political, trade and other international interests.
