asked the Minister for Finance if he will consider the re-introduction of the rebate on diesel used by carriers of milk to creameries.

Rebated oil may be used in a tractor designed and constructed for use for agricultural purposes even where it is being used for carrying milk to creameries. Duty paid oil must be used in other motor vehicles and tractors. Legislation to widen the scope of the present exemption would not be justified.
