asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if his attention has been drawn to reports (details supplied) concerning support by BIM for Galway fishermen's claim for facilities; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have read the reports in question which refer to the efforts being made locally to obtain better facilities for fishermen from the Galway Harbour Commissioners. As these efforts are ongoing I do not propose to make a statement on the matter at this stage.
