asked the Minister for Transport and Power if he will make a statement on the reasons for the present scarcity of turf briquettes.

I am informed by Bord na Móna that peat briquettes are regularly reaching the retail outlets and that supplies are greater than last year.

All briquette factories are at present working to full production.
