asked the Minister for Education if he will make finance and facilities available to ensure that no eligible child in newly developed city areas such as Coolock will be deprived of the benefit of post-primary education in the school year 1976-77; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Richard Burke Minister for Education Fine Gael

The needs for second level school places in all newly developed areas, including Coolock, are kept under constant review in my Department. Plans have been made to ensure that sufficient places will be available in 1976-77, and finance and facilities are being provided to implement the necessary development.
