Peter Barry Minister for Transport and Power (Mr. P. Barry) Fine Gael

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 112 and 113 together.

The EEC have recently set up an ad hoc group of experts to consider implications of the direct application of the general provisions of the Treaty of Rome to air transport. My Department are participating in the work of this group. The EEC Commission have also recently submitted a proposal for a Council decision about a common policy in the civil aircraft and aviation sector and ths country will participate fully in the consideration of this draft decision.
