asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if it is now proposed to issue the telephone directory in two parts, one for the city of Dublin and one for the rest of the country; and if this will involve increased cost in printing and delivery.

The answer to both parts of the question is yes. The splitting of the directory which has been delayed as long as possible is an inevitable development. The extra cost will amount to a few pence per volume.
