asked the Minister for Local Government the steps that have been taken since May, 1974, when he indicated that legislation to make better provision for the control of water pollution was being prepared and when the proposed legislation will be introduced.

Arrangements are being made for the early introduction of a Bill on this subject in Seanad Éireann.
