asked the Minister for Education if, in view of the chaotic conditions obtaining in the Christian Brothers' Secondary School, Youghal, County Cork, he will provide funds immediately for the building of a new school which was approved over a year ago.

Having regard to the extent of present building commitments, I am unable to provide capital immediately for the building of a new secondary school for the Christian Brothers at Youghal. The matter is, however, being kept under review with the object of initiating preliminary planning at the earliest possible date.
