Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - PVC Piping.
Questions in this session
asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the total volume of oil imported during each of the past four years for use as a basic raw material in the manufacture of PVC piping; and the yearly value of those imports.
Comment on this
John Bruton Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Industry and Commerce (Mr. Bruton) Fine Gael
The official trade statistics do not classify imports—including imports of oil—by the intended end use. It is my understanding, however, that oil is not imported into Ireland for use as a basic raw material in the manufacture of PVC piping.
