asked the Minister for Local Government the present position of the proposed Maree water supply which is to be extended from Clarinbridge and from Oranmore, County Galway.

The Maree group have been asked to supply certain costing details. When this information is available my Department will be in a position to consider the financial arrangements for the water supply scheme.

When will this be likely?

If the group send in the details it will be dealt with immediately.

Is it the group who are holding this up?

Yes. Let me be fair about this. A short time ago they were asked for further details and if they send them in I will endeavour to have it dealt with as quickly as possible.
