asked the Minister for Education if he is aware of the large number of pupils in St. David's School, Kilmore Road, Artane Dublin who are in urgent need of remedial teaching; and, if so, if he will arrange for the immediate appointment of a qualified remedial teacher in the school.

I have arranged for the local inspector to investigate the needs of the school in this respect and will communicate further with the Deputy when the report has been received.

Has the Minister any up-to-date figures on the availability of remedial teachers in the country?

That is a separate question.

The question relates to remedial teaching.

It is a quite different question. Question No. 22.
