Rosscahill group water scheme
Progress depends on developing the source and laying a trunk main; the submitted works proposal is under consideration, with no decision date yet.
asked the Minister for Local Government when the Rosscahill group water scheme, County Galway was formed; and the reasons for the delay in starting work on this project.
Comment on this
The Rosscahill group scheme was formed in 1971 with Lough Buffy as the proposed source. Progress with this scheme depends on the development of the source and the laying of a section of trunk main by Galway County Council. A scheme for these works was submitted by the council to my Department in March last and is under consideration. I am not at present in a position to say when a decision will issue to the local authority in the matter.
