asked the Minister for Local Government if he will consider making a special road fund grant to Cork County Council to finance the widening of Kent Street, Youghal, County Cork, a national primary road.

There are no proposals before my Department for the widening of this road. I should add that the funds available for Road Fund Grants to local authorities in 1976 have already been allocated and there are no other funds at my disposal from which an additional grant for improvement works on the road in question might be made this year.
