asked the Minister for Finance if he is in a position to report the progress made in recovering the money spent on the attempted illegal importation of arms, and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Consequent on legal advice which I received I have had proceedings instituted in the German courts against a German citizen for the recovery of certain money so spent. I shall keep the House informed of developments.
