Grants for repairs to small schools

Summary

Faulkner asked whether small schools could receive grants for essential repairs already carried out. The Minister outlined the usual limits on grants for small-school building or improvement work, and the Chair said the broader issue required a separate question.

In his reply the Minister said that grants will not be available for the painting and decorating of small schools. Does that mean that where two-teacher schools have already carried out essential repairs there will be no grant for them?

Am I to take it that the money that has already been spent on small schools will not attract a grant from the Minister's Department?
