asked the Minister for Education if he has received a request from the board of management of (Gurranes) Clonorchid national school, County Cork, for permission to have a general purposes building erected on the school grounds to facilitate the youth in the area; and if he is in a position to grant the request.

I have received such a request and it is under consideration. A senior inspector from my Department together with a representative from the Office of Public Works will visit the school very shortly to report on the case.
