asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries when work will commence on the reconstruction of Clogherhead Pier, County Louth.

The Louth County Council, who own and are responsible for the pier at Clogherhead, have approached my Department for a grant towards extensive repairs to the pier. I am awaiting their final detailed plans setting out firm proposals with a realistic estimate of costs and until I receive this information I cannot say what works may be subsidised by my Department or when they will commence.
