Travelling teachers for vocational committees

Summary

Kitt asked whether vocational education committees could receive travelling teachers beyond their quotas for rural projects. Burke said no such classification exists and teaching needs are assessed within annual teacher-allocation arrangements.

Mr. Kitt

asked the Minister for Education if his Department will sanction travelling teachers for the vocational education committees outside their quota as the teachers work in projects outside of school in rural areas.

Comment on this

There is no such classification as travelling teachers under the vocational education system. The requirements of vocational education committees in respect of all teaching resources are considered within the authorised arrangements for the allocation of teachers each year.
