Exchequer borrowings due for repayment
Gibbons requested the Exchequer’s repayments due from 1977 to 1981, by domestic and foreign source. Begley said the tabular reply would be circulated, noting additional small savings and Exchequer Bills also due for repayment.
asked the Minister for Finance the borrowings by the Exchequer that are due for repayment during each of the years 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980 and 1981; and the sources (a) foreign and (b) national to which they will be repaid.

Since the reply consists mainly of a tabular statement, I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate it with the Official Report.
Following is the statement:
ESTIMATED repayments of borrowings by the Exchequer in the years 1977 to 1981.
In addition small savings totalling about £190m. are repayable virtually on demand while £120m. in Exchequer Bills is repayable on various dates up to three months ahead.
